Mystery Biothane®️ waterproof collar

Introducing The Doggy Emporium’s mystery Biothane®️ collars! These are over 20% cheaper than our custom made collars & an exciting way to order a collar, especially if you’re not sure which colours to choose! Simply select your size, add to your basket & let us know in the cart note if your dog is male or female and we’ll create you a beautiful collar. We will choose a hardware colour, main collar colour plus 2 different keeper colours. Please note these colours will be completely chosen at random & as this is a mystery collar, we will not be able to guarantee which colours these will be. If however, there is a certain colour you don’t like, please add this in the cart note. For male dogs we will avoid pinks & purples unless otherwise stated in the cart note. 

Keepers:

Each collar comes with two keepers in our choice of colour.

Collar keeper widths:

Small collar (16mm) : 2 x 16mm keepers

Medium collar (19mm) : 2 x 16mm keepers

Large collar (25mm) : 2 x 19mm keepers

Extra large collar (25mm) : 2 x 19mm keepers

What is Biothane®️?

Biothane®️ is a Polyester webbing with a PVC coating meaning it’s not only durable but also 100% waterproof, rot proof & odour proof - making them the perfect material choice for dog accessories.

They’re also a popular choice for active dogs as they can withstand a lot of wear and tear, as well as being fully customisable with over 40 colours & 4 hardware options to choose from.

With its leather like appearance, Biothane®️ offers an appealing aesthetic without having to keep up leather maintenance - just a wipe when dirty and it’s as good as new!

How strong is Biothane®️?

Biothane®️ accessories are made from durable polyester webbing throughout to withhold pulling of even the strongest of dogs whilst also being lightweight and flexible. The PVC coating is also UV resistant meaning it won’t break down from exposure to sunlight.

Break strengths:

Small collars & leads - (16mm) - 280kg

Medium collars & leads - (19mm) - 340kg

Large & extra large collars and leads - (25mm) - 454kg

Biothane®️ break strengths are provided through our supplier, Paracord EU.

Hardware:

We use the highest quality of buckles, screws and clips that have also been strength tested by our supplier. Most of the hardware we use is made from colour coated zinc. Even though zinc is extremely strong and durable, it’s not rust or fully chip resistant. Although this is fully waterproof, we don’t recommend taking it in or near sea water.

Product sizing:

We have 4 sizes of collars for neck sizes measuring between:

Small (16mm wide) 25cm - 35cm

Medium (19mm wide) 35cm - 45cm

Large (25mm wide) 45cm - 55cm

Extra large (25mm wide) 55cm - 65cm

All of our leads in the collar & lead sets will be made with the same thickness Biothane®️ and hardware colours and sizes as the collar you have chosen.

Processing times:

All of our Biothane®️ products are hand made in East Yorkshire. As these custom accessories are made to order, it can take up to 2 weeks for them to be made. We then send them out through Royal Mail 1st class to ensure you get your accessories as quickly as possible!

• Our products are made from the highest quality materials and are thoroughly checked before being packaged and sent off. Although our accessories are made to last a long time, we always recommend checking over all dog accessories before and after each walk to ensure there’s no damage or breaks.

• Should anything be at fault with your accessories on delivery, please get in touch with us. Once a product has been used it can no longer be returned, unless otherwise decided by The Doggy Emporium.
